EGYPTAIR Expands Partnership with FlightSafety International with New Boeing 737 MAX Full Flight Simulator

New and upgraded simulators will support EGYPTAIR’s next-generation pilot training and sustainability initiatives.

Dubai, UAE – November 18, 2025 – EGYPTAIR TRAINING ACADEMY has expanded its long-standing partnership with FlightSafety International Inc., a global leader in aviation training and simulation technology, with the acquisition of a new Boeing 737 MAX Level D Full Flight Simulator (FFS) and a Level 1 Flight Training Device (FTD). The agreement was signed at the 2025 Dubai Airshow.

“We are proud to strengthen our partnership with FlightSafety International through this important milestone,” said Capt. Ahmed Adel, Chairman & CEO of EGYPTAIR Holding Company. “As EGYPTAIR continues to modernize its fleet and expand its operations, this new 737 MAX simulator represents a major step forward in ensuring our pilots receive the highest standard of training while aligning with our commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.”

The new FFS will be installed at the EGYPTAIR Training Academy in Cairo and is scheduled to enter service in early 2026, coinciding with the delivery of EGYPTAIR’s first Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Additionally, the ACADEMY’s existing Boeing 737NG simulator will undergo a sustainability-focused upgrade to support both the NG and MAX fleets. Together, these enhancements will expand training capacity and flexibility for EGYPTAIR pilots and other regional airlines across Africa and the Middle East.

“We are honored to continue our collaboration with EGYPTAIR TRAINING ACADEMY and support the airline’s next generation of flight operations,” said Michele Posey, Executive Vice President, Sales, FlightSafety International. “This agreement builds on more than 15 years of partnership and reflects EGYPTAIR’s confidence in FlightSafety’s technology, reliability, and customer service.”

The partnership between FlightSafety International and EGYPTAIR began in 2009 with the installation of the airline’s first FlightSafety-built Boeing 737NG simulator. The upcoming 737 MAX FFS marks the next chapter in this enduring relationship and follows the successful delivery of EGYPTAIR’s Airbus A220 simulator in 2021.

The new devices will be supported by FlightSafety’s comprehensive Service and Operations Support (SOS) program, ensuring peak performance and minimal downtime.
