FlightSafety Appoints Chris Adams Senior Directors, Business Development and Marketing, Government

NEW YORK (March 28, 2014) – FlightSafety International announces that Christopher Adams has been appointed Senior Director, Business Development and Marketing, Government.

He has an in-depth understanding of Customer requirements, and the ability to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions that will help to further increase FlightSafety’s presence in this very important area of our business.”

Chris will work with a cross-functional team to identify and pursue new business opportunities for government and military training services and flight simulation equipment worldwide. Together they will ensure that FlightSafety’s simulation products and training services meet current and future Customer requirements, and provide the highest quality and best overall value.

He has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility since joining FlightSafety in 1998 as a Product Marketing Manager at the company’s Learning Center in Wilmington, Delaware. Chris was promoted to Director, Product Marketing in 2000. He managed a worldwide team of product marketing managers and also served as account executive. Chris was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2012. He was responsible for the development and implementation of marketing programs and strategies for FlightSafety’s business aircraft training programs.

Chris graduated from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then served 5 years in the United States Army, ending at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. As Airfield Commander, he managed airfield base operations, aircraft refueling, control tower, and radar approach facility. Chris also commanded a platoon that operated ten Bell OH-58 helicopters. He was responsible for maintenance and flight training operations. Chris holds commercial instrument helicopter ratings and has accumulated 950 flight hours.

He is a member and current Vice Chairman of the National Business Aviation Association’s Corporate Aviation Management Committee. Chris was also Co-Chairman of the NBAA Leadership Conference in 2012 & 2013. He is a member of the National Gymnastics Judges Association, and holds an international judges rating.
