FlightSafety to Build Its Fourth Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator for Wisesoft Corporation of China

NEW YORK (February 16, 2016) – FlightSafety International announces that it will design and manufacture an Airbus A320 full flight simulator for Wisesoft Corporation of Chengdu, China. This will be the fourth Airbus A320 simulator FlightSafety has provided to Wisesoft.

The Airbus STD 1.8 simulator is expected to receive Level D qualification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China following delivery at the end of 2016. It will be installed at the SafetyWing Aviation Training in Chengdu. In addition, all Wisesoft Airbus A320 full flight simulators will be upgraded with FlightSafety’s VITAL 1100 visual system.

“We are very pleased to have been selected to provide Wisesoft Corporation with their fourth Airbus A320 simulator,” said John Van Maren, Vice President, Simulation. “This clearly demonstrates FlightSafety’s ability to build simulators that meet Wisesoft’s high standards for fidelity and quality, and to offer the delivery schedule and service and support they require.”

“Selecting FlightSafety to supply a fourth Airbus A320 simulator was through a thoughtful and serious evaluation,” said Ding Kun, General Manager, SafetyWing Aviation Training. “We are very pleased with its continually optimized quality, performance and reliability of FlightSafety manufactured A320 simulators, and look forward to receiving the new Airbus A320 simulator later this year.”

The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulator being built for Wisesoft features tightly integrated computer hardware and software across subsystems which allow for more accurate and higher fidelity simulation. It offers a new multi-function Instructor Operating Station designed to enhance the effectiveness of training by providing an intuitive interface, scalable graphics, and large multi touch displays. The simulator will be equipped with FlightSafety’s VITAL 1100 visual system, electric motion control and cueing. The original Airbus panels installed in the flight deck will also help to ensure the highest fidelity training.

FlightSafety has delivered over 130 simulators for commercial aircraft to date. They include a variety of devices for aircraft manufactured by Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer and are utilized by airlines in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North and South America.
