FlightSafety International Promotes Darryl Prince To Assistant Manager, Long Beach Learning Center

NEW YORK (August 9, 2016) – FlightSafety International announces that Darryl Prince has been promoted to Assistant Manager of the company’s Learning Center in Long Beach, California.

Darryl joined FlightSafety at the Long Beach Learning Center in 1988 as a flight simulator technician. He became shift Lead in 1992, and also acted as the Center’s FAA coordinator. Darryl was promoted to Supervisor, Flight Training Devices in 1996, and then served as Manager of the department for 10 years. Darryl was also responsible for the Center’s Safety Management System.

Darryl served in the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command and California National Guard prior to joining FlightSafety. He supported the Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker  and Boeing B-52 Stratofortress programs as a Flight Training Simulator Technician while in the Air Force, and then as Office Administrator for the National Guard’s Lockheed C-130 Hercules Squadron.

He earned an Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics, and more recently a Master of Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

The Long Beach Learning Center offers training for aircraft manufactured by Cessna, Embraer, Gulfstream, and Beechcraft. It is equipped with FlightSafety built simulators for the Cessna Citation II, Citation V, Embraer EMB 120, Gulfstream III, Gulfstream IV, Gulfstream V, Gulfstream G450 and G550, Gulfstream G650, and Beechcraft King Air 200 aircraft. The Learning Center also offers comprehensive crew emergency training facilities that include an aircraft fuselage and cabin fire trainer.
