New simulator and FAA approval advances FSI’s Bombardier Global operator support and training capabilities
COLUMBUS, OH (February 2, 2026) – FlightSafety International Inc. (FSI), a global leader in aviation training and simulation technology, today announced it has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval for the Bombardier Global 7500 simulator located at the company’s Columbus Learning Center.
The approval includes authorization for the Global 7500 Level D Full Flight Simulator (FFS), engineered and manufactured by FSI, confirming the device meets the highest regulatory standards in the U.S. The FFS will be leveraged for initial, recurrent, and advanced pilot training for Bombardier’s ultra-long-range aircraft, further expanding access to high-fidelity training for the Global 7500 fleet.
In addition to supporting FSI’s core curriculum, FAA approval of the simulator enables its use across a broader set of specialized training courses, such as RNP AR (Required Navigation Performance Authorization Required), Steep Approach, and EFVS (Enhanced Flight Visual System) Touchdown & Rollout.
“The FAA approval of the Global 7500 at FSI’s Columbus Learning Center enhances our ability to support Bombardier Global operators with comprehensive, high-quality training,” said Ben Carter, Executive Vice President, Learning Center Operations, FlightSafety International. “Our focus remains on delivering training that prepares flight crews for real-world operational environments.”
The Global 7500 FAA approval further expands FSI’s support for Bombardier’s Global family of aircraft. This milestone builds on FSI’s existing Global training portfolio, which includes the Global 6000 and Global Express, and joins FSI’s overall fleet of 260+ FFS’s and 1,200+ training devices across more than 150 aircraft types.
