FlightSafety Names Pete Nily Manager, Long Beach, California Learning Center

LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, NEW YORK (October 29, 2007) – FlightSafety International announced today that Pete Nily has been promoted to Manager of the company’s Learning Center in Long Beach, California. He replaces Chip White who has been named Manager of the Columbus, Ohio Learning Center.

Nily joined FlightSafety in 1999 as an instructor at the Long Beach Learning Center. He was promoted to Director of Standards at the Savannah Learning Center in 2004 and was named Assistant Manager of the Greater Philadelphia/Wilmington Center in 2006.

His experience prior to joining FlightSafety includes working as an airport manager, airline pilot, flight instructor, General Manager of an FBO and eight years serving with the United States Navy Reserve.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Pacific Western University and also studied Business and Aviation at Cerritos College and Long Beach City College in California. Pete has logged over 6,500 flight hours as a certified flight instructor and as a line pilot with type ratings on the Gulfstream IV, Gulfstream V and Embraer EMB 120 aircraft.

The Long Beach Learning Center offers professional training for aircraft manufactured by Cessna Aircraft Company, Embraer, Gulfstream Aerospace and Hawker Beechcraft. It features eleven FlightSafety built simulators and will soon offer the Total Technical Training program for technicians who maintain Gulfstream aircraft.
