NEW YORK (April 8, 2015) – FlightSafety International announces that Patrick Coulter has been named Director, Business Development, Commercial Training and Simulation.
“Patrick’s leadership skills, operational experience, business acumen, and commitment to excellence made him the ideal choice for this important business development role,” said David Davenport, Executive Vice President, Commercial. “He will work to enhance existing relationships and pursue new opportunities to provide commercial training services and simulation equipment around the world. Current and prospective Customers will appreciate and benefit from Patrick’s ability to develop and deliver effective and efficient solutions that meet their operational and financial requirements.”
In this newly expanded role, Patrick will work to identify, secure and manage growth opportunities. He will be involved with the expansion or establishment of training programs and facilities, and the placement of simulators, visual systems and other advanced training equipment with commercial aircraft operators around the world.
Patrick joined FlightSafety in 1998 as a ground school and simulator instructor at the FlightSafety’s Learning Center in Toronto, Ontario. He was promoted to Program Manager of the company’s Bombardier Q Series aircraft training in 2000, and to Product Marketing Manager in 2002. He then served as Assistant Manager until assuming his most recent position as Manager of FlightSafety’s Learning Centers in Toronto and Tokyo. Prior to joining FlightSafety, Patrick was a commercial airline pilot and flight instructor. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with single and multi-engine ratings.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Acadia University and received a Certificate from the Aerospace Executive MBA program at the University of Toronto. Patrick serves on the Board of Directors of the Air Transportation Association of Canada.
